Get training for the Sunday Age City2Sea presented by Westpac and join the free training runs led by Rupert van Dongen.
Rupert is an IAAF Level 3 Distance Running Coach with over 20 years experience. Based in Melbourne, he has coached athletes from complete beginners through to elite runners. He has coached elite development squads, state representative teams and a range of schools and community groups. A particular area of interest is providing supportive, enjoyable training groups to allow adult runners of all standards to develop. Also a secondary teacher and qualified fitness instructor, he continues to run competitively and is head coach of TXR Runners.
Training runs will begin the week commencing Monday, September 4, see table below for further details around locations and times. There will also be ad-hoc "pop-up" sessions on a fortnightly basis on Saturday or Sunday morning from mid October, stay tuned!
